May: explore the area while harvesting cherries! π
May is a perfect month for those who want to explore the famous villages of the area, such as Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Alberobello, or even Matera. The weather is pleasantly mild, mostly sunny, and the tourist crowds are still manageable. This makes it ideal for enjoying long walks or bike rides through the picturesque countryside surrounding Masseria Olga. However, be warned: May is when the cherry season begins. Once you start savouring these juicy delights, you won't be able to stop!

June: late sunsets and beach days π
June brings longer days and warmer temperatures, perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying the scenery. Don't miss a single sunset behind our oak tree, capping off a day with an aperitivo al fresco. June is also an ideal time to visit if you're drawn to the Puglian beaches. Tourist crowds are still manageable, and the water temperature is more enjoyable. While cherries are still in season, you'll also have the chance to savour the first apricots and try the early figs!

July embodies the essence of summer in Puglia. As the peak season begins, the region comes alive with a vibrant energy. Expect a lively calendar of events, from concerts and parties to traditional festivals β something to suit every taste. We'll also be organizing special events to connect with the local community. While temperatures often soar above 30Β°C, staying cool within the stone walls of Masseria Olga is an absolute treat. And most importantly, July holds a special place in our hearts as it marks the 90th birthday of Nonna Olga! We're looking forward to celebrating this milestone with all of our guests.

August: the Italian Summer βοΈ
August is the heart of the Italian summer, with Ferragosto (August 15th) as the pinnacle. The region continues to host events as in the previous month. Notably, August witnesses the most important religious celebrations in the neighbouring villages of Putignano and Turi, offering a unique glimpse into the vibrant local culture. August is also the month of tomatoes! The abundance of ripe tomatoes is undeniable, and families traditionally come together to prepare their annual supply of homemade tomato sauce. As our community feels like a family, we won't miss this appointment!

September: time to appreciate the local culinary excellence π·
September offers a more relaxed pace. You can still enjoy the warmth of summer days with fewer crowds on the beaches and ample opportunity for outdoor activities. This is the season of the "vendemmia" β the grape harvest. Experience the local tradition firsthand with a visit to a nearby vineyard and savour the taste of the local Primitivo wine. September also hosts various food festivals celebrating the culinary excellence of the territory.

October: slow down and connect with nature π
October marks the beginning of autumn in Puglia. It's a transitional period, allowing you to enjoy both sunny beach days and cozy evenings by the fireplace roasting chestnuts. You will witness how the landscape transforms as the trees begin to don their vibrant autumnal hues, gradually shedding their leaves. October is the perfect time to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and follow the rhythm of the changing seasons.
