Coliving is a modern housing concept that combines private living quarters with shared spaces and amenities, fostering a community-driven environment. Unlike traditional rentals, coliving spaces are designed for collaboration and interaction, often bringing together people who share common interests, values, or professions. Residents have their own rooms but share communal spaces such as kitchens, coworking areas, and lounges, which encourage connection and networking among like-minded individuals.
Room options and prices are shown here. There are different solutions at different prices, in order to accommodate the needs of different travellers. The price includes access to all shared facilities (kitchen, coworking, outdoor areas, etc), use of bikes, use of laundry, weekly change of bed linen/towels, weekly cleaning of rooms. Moreover, the price include the support of community facilitator and local hosts, organisation of transportation, organisation of workshops, cooking classes. The price does NOT include the cost of transportation, meals, entry tickets (when necessary), guided visits.
Yes. We set a minimum stay of 2 weeks (14 days) to guarantee the integration with the community and to have a meaningful experience. However, the suggested length of stay is 4 weeks (28 nights) to ensure you enjoy the full experience. If you are planning to visit us for a period that is slightly lower than 2 weeks, let us know: we can talk about it and see if there is a fit.
Puglia enjoys a Mediterranean climate, meaning it has warm, dry summers and mild, wetter winters. Summer temperatures (June to August) can reach up to 30-35°C (86-95°F), especially inland, with cooler breezes along the coast. Spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) are pleasant and warm, making these ideal times to visit if you prefer milder weather and fewer crowds. Winter (December to February) is generally mild, with temperatures ranging from 5-15°C (41-59°F), though it can be rainy and occasionally windy.
If you choose a room option with shared bathroom (Bed in Twin Room, Double Room, Single Room, Superior Double Room), you will share the bathroom with 2 more people maximum, depending on the occupancy of the coliving in that specific moment. This means that we will arrange rooms to never have more than 3 people using the same bathroom in total. We usually do not make a distinction between only-male bathroom or only-female bathroom, but in case you have this necessity, you can require it and we will try to accomodate your need.
We have 2 coworking rooms that can host all the colivers. It is not a problem to have calls while working but consider that constant calls might disturb the others in the coworking rooms. Make sure the other occupants are fine with that and, if it is the case, take the calls from your bedroom or somewhere else in the facility in order to respect the others.
If you come by train, the best solution is to get to Bari Centrale. From there, you can take either a train or bus headed to Putignano. Consider that the fastest option is to take the bus called "Trulli Link" (50' drive), but it has a lower frequency. Trains have higher frequency but they are slower (between 1h 20' and 1h 30'). You can check the full schedule of both buses and trains in the official site of Trenitalia.
If you come by plane, the best solution is Bari Airport. From there, you will have to reach Bari Centrale. There are different options to get to Bari Central Station either by Shuttle Bus (Tempesta Autoservizi, duration 30', price 5€), or Train (Ferrotramviaria, duration 20', price € 5.30). Once in Bari Centrale, you arrive to Putignano by following the instructions above.
If you wish to take a ride with us from Putignano to the Coliving (about 10' drive), consider to get there no later than 6 pm and to notify us about your schedule. In case you plan to arrive later, we cannot guarantee a ride with us but we will assist you in finding a solution through a local driver (Cost not included).
If you come with your own car, just put the address on Google Maps and notify us about your expected arrival time!
Not necessarily. We provide a shared car and mediation with local drivers to reach the closest bus/train station or any other place (cost not included). We also have bikes that you can use to explore the surrounding. Being located in a rural area, mobility is clearly limited. If you wish to have complete freedom and independence, we suggest to come with your own car or to rent one (prices start from 35€/day). Are you interested in renting a car? Let us know, we can redirect you to a local partner.
We have 8 rooms dedicated to guests, one of which is shared. Besides that, we host up to 2 volunteers that help us with the operations at the coliving. In addition, Francesco and Sabrina, live in the property and actively engage with the community. That makes an average group size that usually go from 8 to 13 people.
Yes. We use to have shared dinners or other shared meals during the week. We are used to have a community meeting every Monday where we organise the activities that we plan to do together during the week, including shared dinners. Although the community facilitation is part of the experience, shared meals are not part of the offer. As we are a community, everyone is encouraged to share something with the rest, either preparing a shared meal or any other activities (e.g. if you practice yoga every day, you might want to share it with others!).
In conclusion, shared meals end up being an important social moment for our community (yes, we love to cook and eat together), but they are not included in the price.
Everyone does their own grocery shopping. As meals are not included, you are supposed to buy your own stuff that you will store in your assigned shelf. As mobility is limited, we tend to organise at least one grocery shopping trip per week. Did you run out of milk? No worries, remember we are a community so you can always rely on someone else's help!
Our long-term objective is to become self-sufficient, but we don't have food for everyone yet :(. Anyways, you can rely on our vegetable and fruit garden whenever you need: you won't find bananas or avocados but definitively what the land has to offer in that moment!
It depends. When we have the community meeting, we do a rough plan of the week. Everyone is encouraged to propose some activity and others are free to join or not. Shared dinners are usually moments where everyone participate. During weekends, it might happen that the group decides to split: some want to relax at the beach with a beer while others prefer to do some tourism. That is totally fine! In any case, we have one community facilitator that will manage any organisational issue in terms of activities and well-being of everyone.
Absolutely not! We understand that people have different schedule in terms of time zone and how their work is organised. Consider that community activities will be organised mainly after 5pm and this might overlap with your working hours. However, the community will take that into consideration for sure and will try to coordinate with you to share community moments with everyone! This implies a little bit of flexibility and proactivity on your side.
